The Laboratory of Electronic Physics, one of the oldest laboratories of the Department of Physics, is part of Section E. It was initially established for the educational and scientific support of the "Professional Degree in Electronics and Radioelectrology", which was one of the first Postgraduate Programs in Greece, founded in 1946. The Laboratory of Electronic Physics has since been staffed with new faculty members and technical/administrative staff and its further scientific development led to the foundation of Section E in 2007.
Today, the Electronic Physics Laboratory is equipped with modern workstations and offers the necessary laboratory infrastructure for the courses of both the curriculum of the Department of Physics and the Interdepartmental Postgraduate Programme R/H and H/A. Finally, it provides the necessary laboratory equipment for research activities and for the PhD Candidates.
